The "Name That Dog" Game!

A Tropical Day at the Lake

We had a blast at the lake. It was Ellie's first time in the water (as far as we know!). She was a great retriever and was adorable using her tail as a rudder. She liked to bounce and splash and, of course, doggie paddle. Noah loved splashing and would laugh whenever Ellie shook off on her. It rained near the end and felt so tropical. And on the way home... We are NOT keeping him!!! :)

Haha, Mike wants me to be sure I know that :) So, to make a long story short:

On our way home from the lake we found this little guy sitting on the side of our busy main street yesterday afternoon. He was narrowly missed by an oncoming van. I managed to lasso him with Ellie's leash (he whined and yelped like I was killing him!) and then into the bath with this stinky fellow! He was such a scared little lump and didn't move for hours. Then, he bravely ventured out into the living room with a tiny wagging tail and has been trying to learn to play with Ellie. He's also mostly potty trained... I wonder what his story is. We're trying to get him into a pet rescue program. Haha, just when you think you figure out your schedule...

 
 
 

Noah's first sentence :)

Noah actually said a whole sentence a couple mornings ago! It was naptime so she was obviously trying to stall, haha, but she pointed to the laptop and said, "I wanta watch beebees." (I want to watch babies.) It was so cute! She meant that she wanted to watch home videos of herself and her friends. I was so surprised by how clear it was.

Mike's CD is almost finished

Wahoo! Mike's CD project is almost finished. We're finishing raising money for the rest of production and offering pre-sale copies. Here's a snapshot of the cover and back design so far. It's his own compositions, acoustic guitar and vocals.

Here's a note from Mike:

"About 2 ½ years ago, the Lord called me to make a CD. Recently, I've been recording and finalizing this CD, filled with songs that the Lord has birthed in me over the last few years. These songs primarily portray our Identity in Christ, and the blessings and freedom that that revelation brings. I'm very excited about this first step of faithfulness in this ministry God has called me too. I don't know where it's all going to go, but I keep hearing Him say, "Be faithful with little..."

I would love your prayer and intercessory support through this journey. As we continue to keep on schedule, all of the production and finalizing work should be done by the end of August (which happens to be the month the Lord told me to have it done by!). It has gone very well so far; Father's hand has been all over it! Please pray that it all comes together in a glorifying way, and that it will be ready for His purposes, whatever they include. Also please pray for provision, as following through with all of this requires significant financing.
