Noah's first dining experience!

So fun! No wonder mom and
Dad do this 3 times a day!

Wow, this is messy!

Look! I'm cleaning my own face!

Noah's first dining experience was hilarious. She didn't quite know what to think but really enjoyed making a mess and sucking sweet potatoes off her hands, face, and highchair tray. Subsequent feedings have been much less messy :) She's getting the hang of this eating thing!

Gardening

Yay! Our tiny garden is growing!

We have: "8-ball" Zucchini (they will be round ball-shaped squash), yellow crook neck squash, cucumber, "Patio" tomatoes, "Jack and in the Beanstock" beans, Valencia onions, "Sunrise" orange bell peppers, and "Nyagous" tomatoes (dark burgundy in color). So fun! We can't wait to have fruit! Right now we have two baby patio tomatoes with many more flower buds and a handful of squash flowers.

Sage Hill Camping

We had a wonderful time camping a couple weeks ago with the IVC gang. There were lots of day trippers and some hardy campers :) Highlights: we discovered a stick-apillar (a caterpillar-worm thing that looked just like a twig!); really neat fuzzy caterpillars with fuzzy horns, tails, and creative decorations that dropped from the trees; yummy, yummy s'mores; Rick chopping a log until his fingers practically fell off; great camp food (Camille makes awesome eggs and bagels over the fire and Holly is a master planner!); Noah wearing ranch on her face and s'more in her hair (sorry hon!); Mike, Rick and Christoph establishing their own 'sovereign nations' on rocks in the river; 15+ mosquito bites (on me only?); Scrabble with the 'Queen'; and using a huge pile of 'Independents' as kindling. We had a great time and survived the heat! Check out our photo album for pictures.
