We have been so blessed! We've received a great welcome and have met some wonderful new people.
Our friend that we went to high school with invited us to her brother's church in DeSoto. Aaron and Keisha have been so welcoming to us! We watched the Super Bowl on their giant projector/TV, so fun! They were also kind enough to get a sitter for all the babies (they have 3 children) and we went out on the town for a full blown down-town tour complete with dinner (at Panda, YUM!) and an amazingly decadent dessert at this neat Moroccan place. Another great couple from their church live in the same apartment complex we do! They have a lovely daughter who is a few months older than Noah.
Tristan and Kim introduced us to her buddies Brit and Ashley. They have been so fun to hang out with! We live only about 15 minutes away and just visited recently for a delicious Italian feast and excellent conversation.
When Mike visited the House of Prayer in Kansas, he met a really neat guy, Steven. Steven said we had to meet Art and Robin Russel and visit Lake Highlands Church. Wow! We were so blessed and encouraged! Art and Robin treated us to lunch at a great Tex-Mex place. They have a great gift of hospitality. They host a small group on Thursdays we're excited to meet.

Dallas World Aquarium!
The Aquarium turned out to be a rainforest zoo! And man, what a Zoo it was - it was the busiest Saturday event... strollers, kids, families, we were packed into lines like sardines! Noah was very excited and loved pointing to all the various creatures. Birds flew overhead and perched in trees in the rainforest section. Below, a manatee floated with large fish and turtles. We ran into some ancient Mayans in full cermonial atire and watched as sharks swam overhead.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Mike and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Cathy and Noah had a girls night while we went out on the town to Ziziki's Greek Restaurant for a delicious meal! It was a three course meal with a Greek appetizer of artichoke hummus, grilled shrimp, and homemade pita bread. Our appetizer was followed by a delicious salad (Mike had a Greek salad with the best Feta we've ever tried; I had a heavenly caprise salad with mixed greens, fresh mozzarella and tomatoe skewers with a sweet basalmic glaze). Then, our entrees! Yum! We had the best rack of lamb, garlic potatoes, and lamb souvlaki. It was so romantic!

Grandma Cathy's visit in Dallas
We had a great time with Grandma Cathy! Noah LOVED their bath time, wearing all our shoes, and showing Grandma all her teddy bears... again... and again :) They are such a cute pair!

Noah
Today was a beautiful day! It was the first warm day since we've been here. It is so lovely.
The day started very early with an explosion... well, let's just say Noah's not feeling very well and her white bear, the carpet (thankfully it was washable), and her clothes (again, thankfully it was laundry day) came out on the loosing end of a diarrhea battle.
But, it ended so nice! We went out to the lake. It was absolutely beautiful. We played by the shore and watched the ducks as the sun gently faded in the sky. The glassy water was a beautiful reflection of the clouds and a long stream of white birds that skimmed the surface. We had a wonderful day today. :)
